Serving Teams #GetOnThat

Our Serving teams are a tight-knit community of people committed to serve everyone who walks through the doors of CLB!
Forget the preacher or the worship band. The members of our Serving Teams are the most important people who show up on Sunday mornings! Your service is what propels our church forward. We want to help you use your gifts to serve, grow, and advance the mission of Christ.

Our Visual Engineers are amazing! They help lead our people in worship through impeccable timing with Pro Presenter #ChangeThoseSongLyrics giving visual aids during the sermon #GiveMeThoseNotes and letting our people know what is happening in announcements #YouSeeThePicturesBeforeAnyOneElse. This is the perfect role for all you introverts! You don’t have to talk to anyone new #PTL but you play a key role in the worship experience. Our Visual Engineers are vitally important.
Team Lead: Porter Bilsten
Our Sound Engineers take care of the mikes and make our worship band sound awesome! Sound Engineers mix the worship band’s music and have the ability to make a mediocre band sound amazing, or an amazing band sound mediocre #NoPressure. Sound Engineers must have a passion and ear for music.
Team Lead: Samantha Jantzen and Andy Frontz
Do you have what it takes to join the Secret Service? This elite team is filled with dedicated and selfless individuals who serve our church by doing the work of a servant. You know who else was a servant? Jesus! To join this team you have to be humble, hard working, and ready to serve. Only the Godliest need apply!

Citylight Benson Kids exists to partner with parents to make disciples of Jesus by teaching children from birth through 5th grade. If you want to be a part of making disciples at CLB, Citylight Benson Kids is a great place to start.

“A stunning first impression is not the same thing as love at first sight. But surely, it is an invitation to consider the matter.” — Lois Masters- Lois Masters
For many people, going to church is a terrifying experience that requires a great deal of courage. Our High Five & Hype Culture Shapers take the edge off by making a good first impression! They greet people with a friendly face and a high five, and they do everything possible to help people fall in love with Jesus and his church. But don’t let it stop there! They are ministers and ambassadors for Jesus! They ask people about their lives, sit with them if they need a friend, and invite them to City Group. If you join this team, think of yourself not only as the CLB welcoming committee, but as an outsider’s first impression of the family of God.

Have you ever scrolled through Facebook, and come across a picture of your friends at an event that you didn’t get an invite to? Terrible feeling, right? The people at our Connection Table exist to make sure that doesn’t happen to newcomers in our church! Our Connection Table Culture Shapers are the people who receive connection cards and work to get each new person connected into community as quickly as possible. We don’t want anyone to feel left out!

We are famous for our doughnuts at CLB. Little known fact: they are delivered from HyVee and served along some bomb Archetype coffee. These two small things play a big role in making people feel welcome and comfortable on Sunday mornings!
Team Lead: Paul Hanson
The security team is responsible for creating a safe environment for everyone on Sunday mornings and as needed throughout the week. Training is provided. Are you willing to protect and serve our church family in this role?
